Ghana Premier League- Medeama vs Hearts of Oak Preview

The top liner for the week undoubtedly. Medeama SC clash with Accra Hearts of Oak at the Tarkwa TNA Park.

The home side lost their opening day match against African campaigners, Ashanti Gold and will look to save face with a convincing win against a resurgent Hearts of Oak.

Hearts managed to pick a narrow win against New Edubiase to pick up their first three point of the season.


With Kessben and Medeama team combine, they have played Hearts of Oak sixteen (16) times in the league. The Tarkwa club has stumped its authority on Phobia by winning seven (7), losing four (4) and drawing five times (5). 37 goals has been produced in their clashes with Medeama scoring 18 and conceded 19.

ince 2007, Medeama are yet to lose a match on match day 2 at home. Played five matches, won three (3) and drawn two (2); scored five (5) and conceded one (1). But in their last three games, they have managed only one win and drawn two.

Hearts on the other hand have played seven (7) matches on match day 2 away to other clubs since 1999. They have won three (3), lost three (3) and drawn only one (1). With 19 goals produced in their various clashes, they have scored nine (9) and allowed in ten (10).

The last time Medeama lost at home was on the 20th of Feb 2014 (0-1 to Kotoko), since then they have gone 21 home matches without a defeat. In all, they have won 14 and drawn 7, scored 36 and conceded 10.

On the month of February, Medema has played eight (8) matches in the league; wininng five (5), losing three (3) and drawing one (1). They have netted 13 and conceded 10.

The Continental Club Masters have on the flip side played 13 games on match day two. Won seven (7), drawn two (2) and lost four (4); scored 13 and conceded 10.
